Wimbledon!

I am so excited! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a tennis fanatic. For the next two weeks, my eyes will be glued to the tv. Of course Venus, Serena, and Andy Roddick are my favorites. I would love to see the Americans make a deep run. Despite what the rankings, seedings, and commentators are saying, I believe a Williams sisters final is definitely possible. Hopefully Andy's shoulder will hold up. Will we see another Andy v. Andy match? Maybe, but I'll definitely be rooting for Roddick. Venus has already won her first match this morning and I can't wait to see Serena play! Back to ESPN for me!

Oh! The Places I'll Go!

....so after many suggestions about blogging, it took me long enough, but I figured I'll give it a try. This will be a place where I can share a little bit of myself. I've been told I'm a true Gemini (whatever that means), but I like to think otherwise. I'm introverted (popular to contrary belief, talking doesn't make a person an extrovert), and I do not feel comfortable being the center of attention. My simplicities are my complexities. I wrote a poem entitled "Simply Complex", which describes my personality. It's one of my favorite poems that I've written, so I decided to name my blog in a similar fashion. The last year of my life has been one of the most trying and rewarding. I've realized things about myself that I thought I already knew. I'm taking more risks and enjoying life's journey for all it's worth. My hope for this blog is that it will be a place where I can continue to express myself the way I want in my own time and be a vehicle for my continued healing and renewal. I must admit that I'm a little nervous about this, but if I don't try, I don't know what the end result will be or could have been. Hopefully this blog will be more than another thing to cross off my bucket list. I don't know where it will take me, but I'm ready to find out! Oh! The Places I'll Go!
